Would you believe that up until a year ago I’d never had a sloppy Joe?! Yeah I know, where have I been?! Well mostly I was growing up in England and although Joes are fairly common there, the sloppy variety doesn’t feature quite so much.
Jerry’s transformation is particularly special to me because we have known each other for over 20 years now. We met freshmen year of college playing Rugby together and then pledged the same fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. We were great friends sharing a bond over partying hard, watching wrestling, and hitting the weight room. For me, the partying ended upon graduation in 2000, but for Jerry it kept going. Ultimately in 2017 he checked into rehab (not his first time) for the last time. When I saw him at our seminar he could barely walk up a flight of stairs. Recently he trained for and finished a 5k run! This is Jerry’s story of how he lost 100 lbs. with Own Your Eating.
…As soon as I implemented some of my “5 A Day” and started pooping again, I started feeling Healthy AF and continued to see more improvements with my other measurements – progress photos, the number on the scale, my performance in workouts and how I felt throughout the day. I was still eating boatloads of cereal and even expanding my horizons trying food like Frosted Mini Wheats and Trix but I was also making sure I got a daily dose of fruits and vegetables.

…I had a pretty captive audience owning three CrossFit affiliates so more and more people started asking for my guidance with their nutrition. As I started helping more clients and friends, it became apparent to me, that people’s nutrition was more about fixing relationships with food than simply losing weight. Fixing that relationship & rectifying common misconceptions was actually the key to their success with weight loss.
My weight isn’t moving…is it me? Am I doing something wrong?
In this week’s episode Jason and Roz answer Annette’s question about why her weight isn’t moving and what she can do about it.
This recipe involves baking your meatballs. I love it when you can throw things in the oven and forget about them because then you have time to prepare whatever else you need! Zucchini noodles go great with these meatballs so whilst they’re busy cooking in the oven get to spiralizing your zucchini and heating up some marinara sauce on the side. Yummy!
Nothing is more important to us than helping our clients lead a healthy lifestyle. Sure we get excited by body composition change and dramatic weight loss transformations, or when clients see their abs for the first time, but helping people improve the quality of their lives and feel healthy again is the most rewarding aspect of the work we do. Jessica Philpot’s overeating and excess weight was exacerbating the symptoms of her Multiple Sclerosis and causing other hormonal imbalances. When we met her she could barely walk! Now she is running & swimming and almost entirely symptom free from MS. Find out how following our program has completely changed her life…
When I first started flexible eating, I didn’t care about the quality of my food. As many of you have heard me talk about before, I lost the first 10lbs. on my journey eating an abundance of Cinnamon Toast Crunch…I know some people might think this is open to debate, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch is THE best breakfast cereal out there. FACT.
Because pizza is life! And if you’re anything like my husband Jason, then you’re always thinking of innovative ways to make your pizza toppings drool worthy 😋 Believe it or not, this recipe is inspired by Betty Crocker. Thanks Betty! Hope you enjoy.
“Ahhh this porridge is just right!” is what you’ll be saying after you try this sweet & warming bowl of deliciousness! In true Goldilocks fashion it took a few tries to get this recipe perfect but luckily I didn’t have to worry about upsetting any bears in the process!
