The chances are that at some point in your life, you’ve tried to cut out carbs. Carbs have gotten this evil reputation and for some reason when we think of losing weight, we associate that with eating less carbohydrates. But just like you tried to ignore your younger sibling at high school, giving carbs the shake is nearly impossible!
Macros has become a buzz word. Let us break it down for you just a bit, we won’t get too complex with it, you know Jason loves the KISS mentality – Keep It Simple Stupid.
Sometimes in life you can feel like you’re just chugging along. The expression “same sh*t different day” springs to mind! It’s easy to feel the same way with your nutrition when your weight loss graph stops resembling a ski-slope and looks more like a cross-country course. Don’t forget, this is a marathon though and not a sprint! So it’s important you’re able to recognize shifts in your mindset and take appropriate action. Can you reframe and find another perspective? Can you find a reason to be cheerful?
Whether you’re new to the concept of macros or have been a flexible dieter for quite some time, we still often get the question “should I be eating ‘clean’?”
Many of you might still be skeptical, wondering “how can donuts help me lose weight? That’s impossible!”
The reason we are so passionate about our flexible eating lifestyle is because for both of us it was the first “diet” we had ever been on that actually worked. Let’s be clear, we’ve all been on diets that work, we lose weight, but we all know what eventually happens, we put that weight back on, more commonly, we put on even more weight than we lost. So, did those diets really work? No! Flexible Eating was the first time for both Roz and myself that we not only lost weight but we were able to keep it off, forever!
This is the question we get asked most often, we get it, our plan seems too good to be true. But, it’s not. Yes, yes, yes, you can eat anything you want, but you can’t eat everything you want. In short that means moderation. Want to enjoy some pizza? Do it! Just keep in mind you might not be able to eat an entire pizza – unless of course it fits your macros!
“This just isn’t working for me! I’m logging my food, I promise I’m tracking everything but I’m just not getting any results! I think we need to change my numbers!” Does this sound familiar? Perhaps something you’ve been pondering for the last month or so?
When people ask about eating out at seminars, Jason always hands the floor over to me. If you don’t already know, I am a full-blown foodie! Which can be a blessing
