“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”
~ Henry Ford
Welcome to the Own Your Eating Lifestyle concept! A fresh new approach to nutrition coaching, designed to give you the ultimate accountability and support you need at less than the price of a cup of coffee a day!
Here’s a short video to give you a little insight into what working with us is all about.
What is the Own Your Eating Lifestyle all about? As nutrition and fitness professionals, we know how hard it is to achieve and maintain your goals without consistent support and motivation. The trouble is, most of us can’t afford to meet with a coach every day or even find the time to. People are sick, overweight and unhappy with the person staring back at them in the mirror. We know how that feels because we were once there too. But now we rarely get sick despite constant travel, we’ve easily kept body fat off even when on vacation and we regularly enjoy date night ice cream or Taco Tuesday with our friends.
We’ve helped thousands of clients transform their bodies and their lives but we know we can do more. We developed this online program because we want to make nutrition and fitness accessible to all. We want to help you get in the best shape of your life and stay there.
With the Own Your Eating Lifestyle membership, you’ll learn how to:
Ditch dieting for good
Eat better without feeling deprived
Build good nutrition habits naturally into your day
Get active & stronger no matter your shape, age or sex
Make fitness fun and rewarding
Prioritize your goals without them becoming all-consuming
What’s the outcome?:
Lose those 10 lbs. you keep dropping & gaining, for good!
Gain confidence in your body and abilities
Have a better relationship with food
Feel energized and sleep better
Improve your overall health and well-being
Develop a more positive outlook on life
Make friends and enjoy new experiences

Q: What’s this program all about?
A: If you’ve tried something before and “failed” or just couldn’t stick with it, you’re not alone! That’s because most diets are too strict and require you to live in some kind of vacuum – you know, the kind where you only drink shakes for lunch or can only snack on low-carb “treats”. We don’t put these types of unrealistic expectations on our clients.
We set you up for success with sustainable changes to your fitness and nutrition. We make nutrition simple to understand and easy to implement with practical strategies and advice that can fit anyone’s lifestyle.
Q: How does your Program work?
A: First you’ll decide which membership option is best for you and then complete your purchase. Check out the How it Works page for a detailed overview.
Whilst you wait to hear from your coach, you have access to TONS of private content to browse through on our website and in our private Facebook group. You’ll also have access to your video in the Memberships section of your Account page in our site.
After completing our on boarding questionnaire, your coach will make recommendations for your calorie & macronutrient intake goals and you’ll get started.
Depending on your program, you will either check-in monthly or weekly with your coach. If you selected Premium, you will also get 2 phone calls a month from your coach. With our in-built messaging system you will also be able to contact your coach outside of your regular check-in.
For a more detailed explanation, visit our How It Works page.
Q: How long is this program?
A: Our ethos is that if something’s important to you, you do it every day. So we didn’t believe it would be right to put a time frame on something as important as your health. The Own Your Eating Lifestyle membership lasts as long as you want it to. You’ll find as you start this journey that just as your body transforms, your goals will also change, evolving with time. We’re here to help you keep making your nutrition and fitness a foundational part of your daily routine for as long as you need us. Membership options are available for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.

Q: Will I get a Meal Plan?

With all of our memberships you’ll get a meal plan for your goal weight range and can choose from six different preferences. Click here to learn more about our meal plans.
Q: Do I have to workout to do this program?
A: No you do not. We’re in the business of creating healthy dietary changes, and although a workout program can be an added benefit to leading a healthy lifestyle, it’s not a requirement to working with us.

Q: Who is this program NOT for?
A: The Lifestyle program is not for professional athletes, bodybuilders or athletes training for a particular sport. If you’re an elite-level athlete we’re happy to work one-on-one with you and provide you with an individualized program, structured to suit your specific goals and needs. Shoot us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see if we’re a good fit!
Q: Will this program work for me?
A: Yes! Provided you want it and you work for it, this program will absolutely work for you. Now that doesn’t mean it will be easy – most rewards in life rarely are – but if you follow our recommendations and do at least 80% of what we ask of you then you will undoubtedly have success.
>We don’t need you to be perfect – in fact we encourage you not to be – but we do need you to commit. It will take hard work, determination and patience to get there but it will be worth it. Changing your body takes time, but it’s not impossible.
Q: Do you guarantee results?
A: Yes! If you buy any of our memberships, stick with us for a year AND do at least 80% of what we ask you to do and you don’t get the results you want, then we’ll refund you. We stand by our word.
Q: Who are you and what are your qualifications?
A: We’re Jason and Roz Ackerman, the founders of Own Your Eating. We’re a husband and wife team who have taken it upon ourselves to share our knowledge and passion for food and fitness with the world!
Jason has devoted his entire career to helping others improve their health and become the best versions of themselves. At the age of 15 when Jason worked at his first gym he knew he’d found his calling. Although Jason made time for school and holds a Masters degree in Psychology, Jason chose to pursue his passion for health and fitness with the less lucrative position of personal trainer and spin instructor. Flash-forward 25 years and Jason has successfully owned and sold three CrossFit affiliates and currently tours the world with the CrossFit seminar staff, training other young professionals in the art of coaching and the fundamentals of functional movements.
Jason has transformed the lives of thousands of people as their coach, educator and mentor.
Here’s a little known fact about Roz, she wasn’t always a fitness enthusiast and nutrition nut. Nope! Roz used to loathe running, drink more than anyone should for someone her size and was even a smoker! Roz has always loved food but weight gain during her teens and college years lead to years of restrictive eating, fad diets, binge eating and an extremely complex relationship with food.
Fast-forward 10 years and Roz got back to her roots, taking part in competitive sports and supplementing her recreational fitness with running, yoga and resistance weight training. Realizing her potential reinvigorated Roz’s passion for health, fitness and baking! After receiving her 200-hour certification in yoga, Roz decided to leave her job in law to pursue a career in fitness and nutrition. Since then, Roz has received qualifications from NASM as a personal trainer, her CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit kids certs and Precision Nutrition Level 1 and 2 certifications.
Roz understands the stresses and challenges of office life; she also understands the daily pressures and demands women face striving to live up to society’s expectations to fulfil so many roles perfectly. Roz has helped many women realize that taking care of themselves first is not a selfish act. If you’re a happier, healthier individual then you’re going to be in a better place to be able to care for those around you.

Q: Why should I pay for this program when I could just pick up a book or find some articles online for free?
A: Well ask yourself this; have you consistently made good use of all that material before? I’m guessing not, otherwise you probably wouldn’t be reading this now! Just like you need a teacher and a curriculum to make it through school or college, you need a coach and a structured program to progressively improve your fitness and nutrition habits. It’s hard to stay strong in the face of making change, especially when you only have yourself to answer to. You can have all the willpower in the world but there are going to be more occasions than you care to imagine where the brain will beat your inner most desires into submission. We are hardwired to avoid pain and to respond to change with resistance. Ask yourself, what seems more enticing after a long stressful day at work? A pint of Ben & Jerry’s on the sofa or a 15-minute EMOM of burpees and deadlifts? The bottom line is this, willpower is finite and will wane but your survival instincts will rarely fail to kick-in!
Continuing to step outside your comfort zone needs more than just a few articles you found on the web. We won’t just give you written material, we’ll provide you with videos, interactive webinars and phone calls, all in a systematic and purposeful way to help you slowly integrate our recommendations into your life. We’ll have a private Facebook group where we can communicate because we want to develop a relationship with you to help keep you motivated and accountable. We know that transformative change is more likely to happen when you build connections with others. Don’t believe us? Just ask our Tribe about their success.
Q: Why are you offering this program?
A: Coaching is in our blood. We want to make a lasting impact on as many people as possible. We know the struggle, we’ve lived through it and we know what it takes to get the results that last. We want people to enjoy the time they have on this planet as much as possible. We want you to reach your full potential and to feel the same confidence and ease in your body that we have found since following our prescription.
Q: I’m NOT a beginner with Macros or Flexible Eating. Will this still work for me?
A: Yes. This program is not a “one size fits all” kinda deal. With our various membership options, you can choose something that will best suit your needs. If your needs change you can always upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time. Jason and I are both coaches, but even we recognize the need to save energy with our own programming and nutrition so that we can focus on other important things in our lives – like spending quality time with each other! We’ve worked with other trainers and coaches, like Mel at CrossFit MPH and even competitive level athletes like Lindsay Valenzuela.
Q: What if I’m new to fitness and nutrition and have a LOT of weigh to lose?
A: We work with all kinds of people. People who need to gain weight like Stacey and people who have a lot of weight to lose like Jerry. Jerry started working with us on September 11th, 2017. Jerry’s been sober for 6 months now and has lost 100 lbs. as of February 2018!
Jerry: Age 40, down 100 lbs. from 444 lbs.
Whatever your circumstances, we’re sure we can help you and if we can’t, we’ll make sure we put you in touch with the right people who can.
Q: Is this just for young people?
A: No. We’ve helped many people in their 50s, 60s and 70s! Take Becky for example, a mother, grandmother and amateur crossfitter. Becky’s progress has been phenomenal. She started at the age of 52 and has been on her journey for 16 months now. Becky’s transformation is proof that it’s never too late to reverse the effects of ageing and improve the quality of your life with your fitness and nutrition.
Becky: Age 53, lost over 30 lbs.
Q: I’m a vegetarian / pescatarian / paleo-style eater or lactose / gluten intolerant [or insert other appropriate food preference.] Can I still do flexible eating?
A: Absolutely! We have worked with many vegetarian clients who have had great success with our lifestyle. We’ve also created vegetarian and paleo inspired meal plans to show people how easy it is to make flexible eating fit your eating preferences. At the end of the day the tools we teach are the same for everyone, you simply apply them in a way that suits you. If you enjoy eating cheese, then continue to do that, if you can’t digest gluten then continue to keep it out of your diet. Improving your nutrition will not necessarily cure you of your food intolerances, but it will improve your health.
Q: What’s the cost?
A: Our monthly prices start as low as $37 a month (if paid annually). That’s less than the cost of a cup of coffee a day! You pick the package that best suits your needs and goals. Check out our membership prices here.
Q: Can I cancel my membership at any time?
A: Yes! For the monthly reoccurring memberships, there’s no commitment. You can cancel at any time.
Q: What’s the billing period?
A: If you sign up for the monthly-membership you’ll be billed monthly on the date you signed up. If you signed up for a yearly membership you’ll be billed on the anniversary of your subscription.
