When did you start Flexible Eating & how did you get started?
I bought the Just Get Me Started bundle at the end of June 2017.
What prompted you to get started?
I saw a lady (now friend) on Instagram using the @ownyoureating tag and messaged her to ask about it. Best decision I’ve ever made!!
How much weight have you lost?
What other changes have you noticed in your body or in general?
I just pulled out my summer clothes and they’re all too big! I lost all 26 pounds by the end of October 2017. I have kept all the pounds off, give it take a couple, but my body continues to change shape. I’m gaining muscle while losing fat, so I’m getting smaller while weighing the same I did in October. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to lift as much weighing less. Instead I have PRed many lifts including back squat, snatch, and front squat. My gymnastics ability has also gone through the roof!
What has been your biggest obstacle that you have overcome or are working on?
I will probably always have to work on moderation. There are still days that I want the WHOLE pizza. But I hear the words “Don’t eat like an asshole” playing on my mind which helps keep it in check!
What’s the one thing you previously would have deprived yourself of on a diet that you now get to enjoy guilt-free?
DONUTS, PIZZA, CHEESEBURGERS, FRIES…oh wait, you said just one? Haha
What’s one piece of advice you would give someone that is just getting started?
Trust the Process. The scale goes up. The scale goes down. The scale doesn’t move. That’s because our bodies are human, not machine. Stay steady and remember it really IS a way of life. It’s not a diet. So there’s no end date. This is forever and it’s fabulous!
