Transformation Tuesday – Sarah Dodson

I was always super athletic through high school – could eat anything and everything with no worries. I played several different sports, and even went to college on a volleyball scholarship.
After some medical issues and then two pregnancies and lots of yo-yo dieting and trying to be a runner, I found myself at my absolutely heaviest and so miserable. I started counting macros when i was introduced at a bootcamp in February.
In that 8 week camp, i lost almost 10”, but even more, i wasn’t starving or miserable. I transitioned into CrossFit after the bootcamp ended and continued losing inches and weight. I’ve lost over 65lbs. I went from a size 20/22 to an 8/10.
But even more than what I’ve lost, I’ve gained myself back. I’ve learned to prioritize me and needs. I can play and run with my kids. I’m proud of my accomplishments both in and out of the gym.
This is definitely a lifestyle. It’s so doable, I tell anyone looking to lose 10lbs or 100lbs.
It’s so doable!
Going into the holidays is gong to be my first big challenge – I’m a sucker for holiday food! But I’ve learned to enjoy within reason, and I’m excited to take that on.
My biggest advice is to take it one day at a time – focus on the 24hrs in front of you and decide what you can do in that time to get closer to your goals, and then do it.
