Is there anything better than peanut butter? Yes! Peanut butter + chocolate smooshed together to form a delicious bite-sized chocolate peanut butter cup. If I was a super hero, I’m pretty sure peanut butter cups would be my kryptonite.
Sick of chugging down protein shakes or chowing down on grilled chicken to hit your protein? Me too! So I was literally over the moon when I came across this high protein cheesecake recipe. This dessert has just 2g of fat and 14g of carbs per slice! Try it out.
When I was in my teens, I had unlimited access to an incredibly well-stocked pantry. My affinity for junk food was no doubt inherited from my dad. He was careful not to overindulge but I rarely remember a night where a chocolate bar or a bag of Walkers salt and vinegar chips wasn’t devoured! He’d munch away audibly enjoying his treats and remind us to, “keep everything in moderation, including moderation!”
OMG these pancakes are literally to die for! ? They remind me of the epic pancakes I had in Vancouver at a cute little spot in Cambie called Jam Café. I remember having a hard time guesstimating the macros for that brunch – I damn near had a heart attack when they brought out my 2-inch-thick pancake stack the size of a dinner plate! Given that I was unable to eat anything for the rest of day I’d say those bad boys were not quite as macro-friendly as these!
If you’re a fan of cake batter than you’re gonna LOVE this protein packed jar of oatmeal. Prepare it the night before so you can have it for breakfast even when your morning’s hectic. This is so tasty and filling it makes a great late night treat too! Now there’s no reason not to enjoy cake every day – hey, it’s somebody’s birthday somewhere! 😉
I know what you’re thinking. Hmmm isn’t ‘vegan’ code for ‘healthy’ which is code for ‘tastes like crap’?! Well you’d be wrong on both counts. Vegan isn’t always healthy, swedish fish are vegan
You can’t go wrong with a classic sugar cookie recipe. And if you do, well you can always cover it up with a ton of icing! ? Typically these cookies can get pretty high in fat but I made a sneaky substitute for another ingredient that still preserved the flavor and texture of these delightful holiday treats.
Me and my sweet tooth LOVE this time of year! Its all too easy to let things get out of control with all the delicious desserts everyone brings to the table. That’s why when I get invited to a holiday party, I always make sure to bring a sweet and at least one side dish with me so I know exactly what’s in a couple of the things I’ll end up eating.
Fortunately for me and my sweet-tooth, these paleo banana walnut muffins are delicious without being devastatingly decadent! They’re everything I look for in a breakfast or snack staple. Just the right amount of sweetness, with a moist & dense-like quality to easily trick the satisfaction centre of your brain, but without the repercussions of being sent spiralling into a food coma. Quite the opposite, these muffins will keep you feeling full, satisfied and energized all morning long!
If you’re following us on our Instagram, y’all know that my breakfasts have been somewhat epic of late! In the last 7 days I’ve had donuts on four occasions, pancakes twice and a sausage and egg breakfast bagel once. I can confirm that life is peachy in the foodie city of Atlanta! 🙂 Key lime pie is waiting for me just over the border, but in the meantime I’ll be devouring pancakes and other southern delights! ?
